Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – A total of 2,244 Gorontalo residents receive free land certificates from the National Land Agency (BPN) Gorontalo Regional Office.
The certificate distribution to the residents was carried out simultaneously with all regions in Indonesia by President Joko Widodo symbolically through an online event on Monday (4/12/2023). In Gorontalo Province, the ceremony was centralized at Banthayo Lo Yiladia (BLY), the mayor’s official residence.
“At the palace, 12 certificates were symbolically handed over. In Gorontalo, we had 200 recipients present. The rest will be distributed to their respective regions,” said Head of BPN Gorontalo, Erry Juliani Pasoreh, after the event.
The free certificate distribution is part of the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s program, namely the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL). In Gorontalo, the program is continually implemented by the Gorontalo BPN Regional Office.
“We are consistently running the PTSL program. Our progress towards the PTSL target set until 2024 is at 89 percent. The remaining 11 percent will be completed by 2024, so that by 2025, all land areas in Gorontalo will have certificates,” said Erry.
The free certificate distribution, attended by the regional leadership coordination forum, was accompanied by the launch of electronic certificates, one of the innovations from the Ministry of ATR/BPN that provides many benefits to the public. It helps prevent forgery and protects against the physical loss of certificates due to disasters such as fires or floods.
“Like the recent incident of a fire in one of the offices. The land certificates were engulfed in flames. We are not worried; although the physical certificates burned, the data is secure due to the existence of electronic certificates,” said Erry.
She revealed that, similar to the PTSL program, the implementation of electronic certificates in Gorontalo has been ongoing since its launch.
“We started with the electronic certification of state-owned land covering 980 plots spread across six districts. Of this target, about 52.96 percent have been completed.
Bone Bolango and Pohuwato have reached 100 percent, Boalemo Regency and Gorontalo City are over 90 percent. For Gorut Regency, it’s 48.42 percent, and Gorontalo Regency is 25.61 percent. I have instructed the regional offices to complete it soon,” Erry emphasized.
In implementing electronic certificates, Erry continued, they follow the stipulated procedures. This includes digitizing all documents, validating land areas through survey letters and land certificates, among other steps.
“We target that all certificated land areas in Gorontalo will transition to electronic certificates by 2024,” she concluded.(*)
