Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Chairperson of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of North Gorontalo, Deasy S.M Datau, hopes for enhanced institutional communication between the executive and legislative branches this year.
Deasy’s statement is not without reason. Learning from past experiences, she emphasizes that many regional issues have arisen due to insufficient communication between the legislative and executive branches.
“We all hope that in the 2024 budget, North Gorontalo will improve further, and for that, one aspect to be considered is institutional communication,” expressed Deasy.
According to Deasy, communication between her team and the executive has been ongoing, but she notes that it lacks intensity.
“However, the intensity of this communication needs to be maximized, especially when it comes to the interests of the region,” said the Chairperson of the PDIP Gorut DPC.
Deasy hopes that the previous conditions in the region will serve as a valuable lesson for all parties and that improvements can be made in the future. She emphasizes the need for joint efforts to find solutions when undesirable situations arise.
Regarding inter-agency communication, Deasy hopes for openness and transparency.
“We have often been caught off guard because of the lack of transparency, making it seem secretive,” she asserted.
Regarding the policies to be implemented, she says that as long as they fall within the scope of executive rights, it is acceptable. However, she emphasizes the importance of compliance with regulations and applicable rules and regulations.
“But if it requires consideration or advice from the legislative branch, feel free, as we are always open, especially for the benefit of the region,” she stated.
Therefore, in this political year, Deasy continues to hope that all regional development programs can be implemented to the fullest extent possible and free from political intrigues.
“We also hope that the regional conditions remain conducive, and the community is more mature in facing various situations and conditions,” she concluded. (*)
