Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Activist from North Gorontalo (Gorut), Indra Rohandi, has called on the Acting Regent, Sila Botutihe, to dismiss the Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office, Felmy Amu, from his position.
Indra made the request because the Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office is allegedly indifferent to the plight of 11 households in the Settlement Unit (SP) Motihelumo.
According to him, since these 11 households moved to SP Motihelumo, there has been no promised land for business from the Manpower and Transmigration Office.
“If possible, remove not only the head but also the entire department in the Manpower and Transmigration Office,” emphasized Indra.
Indra explained that the absence of business land in SP Motihelumo has a significant impact on the residents’ lives. Indeed, he said, because of this, the residents’ economy has declined due to lack of income.
As a result, continued Indra, many children in that location have dropped out of school due to financial constraints.
“This issue has actually been reported from the section head to the North Gorontalo Regent, who had previously visited directly, but there has been no resolution,” he said.
Indra Rohandi deeply regrets the attitude of the local government, especially the relevant technical agencies such as the Manpower and Transmigration Office, which seem indifferent to the community.
“The prolonged suffering of the residents reflects the government’s indifference, especially the related agencies, to the issues of ordinary people who have been relocated but are not guaranteed their right to life,” he concluded.(*)
