Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Gorontalo City Government continues to take various steps to expedite the implementation of digitalization in the region.
One of these steps is the adoption of electronic payment for local taxes and levies through the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) application.
According to the Head of the Gorontalo City Financial Agency, Nooryanto, paying local taxes and levies through QRIS can facilitate taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations. Nooryanto mentioned that the convenience includes being able to do it from anywhere.
“Paying local taxes and levies through QRIS can use E-Money, such as Gopay, OVO, Mobile Banking, and the like. Therefore, payments can be made from anywhere and anytime. So, it won’t be a hassle for us,” said Nooryanto on Monday (1/15/2024).
He added that, besides facilitating taxpayers, using QRIS in the payment of local taxes and levies can also avoid the potential for leaks in the collection of local taxes and levies by not having direct interaction between taxpayers and levy payers with officers.
“This is our effort to prevent leaks in the collection of local taxes,” Nooryanto explained.
Therefore, Nooryanto invites all citizens and civil servants (ASN) in the Gorontalo City Government to use QRIS when making payments for local taxes and levies.
“Paying taxes and levies is easier with QRIS. Therefore, I urge all civil servants and the public in Gorontalo City to use QRIS when making payments for taxes and levies,” Nooryanto advised. (*)
