Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Sofian Ibrahim was officially inaugurated as the Secretary of Gorontalo Province on Wednesday (6/12/2023).
The inauguration, conducted by Acting Governor of Gorontalo, Ismail Pakaya, took place in the governor’s official residence hall.
In his remarks during the inauguration, Ismail revealed that the position of the Secretary of Gorontalo Province had been vacant for quite some time.
“Mr. Syukri served as Acting Secretary for about nine months, followed by Mr. Budiyanto for five months,” said the Acting Governor. “Alhamdulillah, this time we are inaugurating the definitive Secretary of Gorontalo Province,” he continued.
Sofian Ibrahim previously held the position of Head of the Regional Development Planning and Research Agency (BAPPPEDA) of Gorontalo Province.
The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 166/TPA Year 2023 concerning the Termination and Appointment from and within the High-Ranking Officials’ Positions in the Gorontalo Provincial Government, dated November 24, 2023.
On this occasion, the Acting Governor of Gorontalo congratulated the newly appointed Secretary for his duty.
“I extend congratulations to Mr. Sofian Ibrahim and his wife, who will also serve as the Chairperson of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan,” said Ismail.
For information, Sofian Ibrahim is the fifth Secretary of Gorontalo Province in its 23-year history.
Previously, this position was successively held by Mansur Detuage, Idris Rahim, Winarni Monoarfa, and Darda Daraba. (Release)
