Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Chairman of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Gorontalo Regency, Syam T. Ase, appreciates the achievement of regional economic growth, which has increased to 3.93 percent in the last three years.

According to him, the economic improvement in Gorontalo Regency is attributed to various parties, especially the community.
“We must appreciate that because it’s our collective achievement. Certainly, the community also contributed to it,” said the Chairman of the Gorontalo Regency DPRD, Syam T. Ase.

Therefore, he expressed gratitude to the local community that has participated in the improvement of the regional economy. One of the contributions, Syam mentioned, is through the activities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).
“Because UMKM is one of the indicators in the regional economic growth,” he stated.
In the future, the PPP politician continued, the community must continue to play a role in the development of the region.
“In various aspects, I think the community should play a role. Besides UMKM, the agriculture sector also has a positive impact. With the growth of the agricultural sector, it contributes to the regional economy,” he explained.
On that occasion, he also requested the local government to continue providing budget support to facilitate community activities, such as those related to UMKM and agriculture.
“We (DPRD) take on the role of advocating and discussing together with the local government. Later, the local government will execute the realization in the community,” he clarified. (*)
