However, farmers in Dengilo sub-district can now breathe a sigh of relief as high-quality corn seeds are distributed for free during the recess of the first session of the fifth year by Ismail Samarang, a member of the Golkar faction in the Pohuwato Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), on Thursday (12/7/2023).

Feri Imon, a farmer from Hutamoputih Village, expressed his gratitude for the assistance of corn seeds he received. Feri mentioned that for the past few months, he and other corn farmers have faced difficulties in accessing seed assistance.

“We are very grateful; this seed assistance has been unavailable for several months, and now it comes during the recess of Mr. Ismail Samarang. We are very helped by his aspiration program,” said Feri after queuing to receive the aspiration assistance.

He hopes that in the future, free corn seed assistance, like the aspiration program of the DPRD member, can continue to help farmers, especially in the Paguat-Dengilo sub-district.

“Our hope for the future is that assistance like this continues smoothly,” said Feri.

“Thanks to him for helping us, the people of Hutamoputih Village, especially the farmers. Thank you, Mr. Ismail Samarang, for your free seed assistance,” Feri concluded.

Meanwhile, Ismail Samarang, a member of the Pohuwato Regional People’s Representative Council, stated that the assistance of corn seeds had long been the aspiration of the community, especially farmers.

Therefore, through this recess, according to Aya Eni (his nickname), what the community had aspired to some time ago could be realized through the program.

“This is an aspiration we received some time ago, and thankfully, some of it has already been distributed,” said Ismail Samarang.

He also hopes that the assistance can be utilized to provide positive impacts on the community’s economy.

“The hope is that this assistance can alleviate. Many thanks also to the community for providing input so that we can fight for and realize what the community really needs,” he concluded. (*)
