Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Secretary of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Gorontalo Regency (Kabgor) has prepared for the extraordinary session for the dismissal and appointment of Ali Polapa’s interim replacement, Ismet Hemeto, as a member of the DPRD for the 2019–2024 term.
The plenary session is scheduled for Tuesday (21/11/2023), as determined in the joint decision of the deliberation board (Banmus).
“As per the Banmus meeting decision, the plenary session will be held on Tuesday,” stated Syam T. Ase, Chairman of the DPRD of Gorontalo Regency, on Monday (20/11/2023).
Syam explained that with the inauguration of the interim replacement for the PDI-P legislator, the composition of the PDI-P faction members will be complete again.
“Of course, in decision-making and others, the PDI-P faction will no longer lack its voting rights. After being inaugurated, it is expected that the completeness of the council’s equipment from the PDI-P faction should be rearranged,” Syam clarified.
Meanwhile, the Council Secretary (Sekwan) Yahya Podungge revealed that the preparation for the plenary session for the replacement of the PDI Perjuangan legislator is 95% complete.
“InshaAllah, everything will run smoothly and successfully; the decorations are almost finished. It’s just a matter of arranging chairs and other things,” Yahya explained.
Contacted separately, Sukarman Humonggio, the Chairman of the PDI-P Faction, explained that all processes and mechanisms for the interim replacement have been in accordance. Based on the KPU’s decision, Ismet Hemeto is appointed as the replacement for the late Ali Polapa, according to the seat allocation in the 2019 legislative elections.
“The first-highest votes for PDIP in the Batudaa constituency were for Ali Polapa, followed by Ismet Hemeto in the second position,” he said.(*)
