Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – A dark toto gelap (Togel) gambling operator in Gorontalo City was apprehended by the police on Thursday (30/11/2023). The perpetrator, identified as BK (49), a resident of Leato Selatan Village, Dumbo Raya District, Gorontalo City, was caught while collecting deposits from Togel gambling partners.
The uncovering of this Togel gambling activity was based on a report from a citizen received by the police, which was promptly followed up by the Rajawali Team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo City Police.
“After receiving a report from the public regarding suspected online gambling, the Rajawali team conducted an investigation and observed that BK was collecting bets from the community. Subsequently, BK was immediately apprehended,” said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo City Police, Commissioner Leonardo Widharta.
“We apprehended BK at a location in Heledulaa Selatan Village, East Kota District, Gorontalo City, on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at around 17:00 WITA,” added Leonardo.
Meanwhile, from the police interrogation, it was revealed that BK’s Togel gambling activities had been ongoing for several months.
“From the arrest of BK, we also seized a mobile phone with the ISITOTO 4D application installed with a balance of Rp.820,893, as well as a BCA ATM used in online Togel gambling transactions,” said Commissioner Leonardo.
“For now, we have handed over the perpetrator to the criminal investigation section for further investigation,” he concluded. (*)
