Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – A plastic bag containing an intact baby with the umbilical cord startled the residents of Alale Village, Suwawa Tengah District, Bone Bolango Regency, on Monday (1/1/2024).
The baby boy was first discovered by Hasan (43) on the side of the road. He heard a faint baby cry as he passed by the road.
Curious about the cry, he then invited some friends to trace the origin of the sound.
When found, they were shocked to see the baby still wrapped with the umbilical cord and immediately reported it to the police.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bone Bolango Police, AKP Muhammad Arianto, confirmed the discovery of the baby. Currently, the baby is under the care of the local health center.
“Yes, we have received information about the discovery of a baby in a plastic bag. For now, the baby is being handled by the health center officers,” said Arianto.
Arianto explained that, in this case, they will conduct an initial investigation to uncover the perpetrator of this unfortunate baby abandonment.
“We will gather evidence to uncover the perpetrator of this baby abandonment,” he concluded.(*)
