Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Following the approval of the draft regional regulation (Ranperda) on taxes, levies, and local taxes, it is confirmed that it will be implemented in 2024.
This aligns with the statement from the chairman of the DPRD Gorontalo District’s Tax and Levy Ranperda Special Committee, Jayusdi Rivai, while leading the committee’s evaluation meeting.
Jayusdi stated that after being deliberated and evaluated by the Governor of Gorontalo, the DPRD, along with relevant agencies, only needs to make refinements and, at most, correct punctuation and the fundamentals of the national sheets used.
Furthermore, Jayusdi continued, there are also several crucial points related to turnover, leading to the merging of articles but with accompanying explanations.
“In principle, everything is just a matter of correction and improvement, and after the improvements are made, it will be determined and promulgated, after which the regulation will be implemented,” explained Jayusdi.
Jayusdi emphasized that this regulation will begin to be enforced in January.
“Because the enactment of this regulation is part of the tax and levy collection process. If not determined, it will lead to illegal collections,” explained the two-term legislator.
This PPP politician added that, until now, the rules did not specify levy amounts. Therefore, in 2024, adjustments will be made based on Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning taxes and levies.
The regulations stipulate parking levies for two-wheelers at Rp 2,000, three-wheelers at Rp 3,000, and four-wheelers at Rp 4,000 to Rp 5,000.
“At present, in accordance with consultations with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, parking inside and outside the road body is determined.
This is because, until now, there has been no determination of parking outside the road body. Therefore, a change is made, namely, park inside the road body when needed,” he emphasized.
“For example, if there are urgent activities and public road parking spaces function as temporary parking, such as behind the Regent’s office, in front of the Foodcourt, and in the outer parking area in front of the modern Limboto Market. Without regulation, there will be extortion,” Jayusdi asserted.
He hoped that with the enactment of this regulation, all types of levies and local taxes could be well-managed, ultimately contributing to increased regional income.
“If this is managed properly, it is expected to be one of the sources of income for the region that will be managed for the improvement of the economy and the welfare of the people,” Jayusdi concluded. (*)
