Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Acting Regent of Bone Bolango, Merlan Uloli, is genuinely committed to reducing poverty rates in her area.
This commitment is evident through various initiatives undertaken by the first female regent in Bone Bolango.
Most recently, Merlan gathered several technical agencies (OPD) into a dedicated center tasked with serving documents for the impoverished population.
The establishment of this center, located at the Public Service Mall (MPP) and operational since Tuesday (3/2/2024), is considered by many as a source of renewed hope for the region, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year.
In this center, services will be provided for four groups with integrated services.
The first group includes education and health services, focusing on preventing and addressing school dropouts, recommendations for receiving national health insurance premium assistance, as well as the prevention and handling of stunting.
Next, the second group addresses socio-economic aspects, offering training for employment, consultations for productive economic activities, and support for farms, ponds, and livestock (KAKANDA).
The third group focuses on basic infrastructure, providing services for habitable homes, clean water, and sanitation.
The last group deals with data and reporting, offering services such as population data matching, updating the poverty database, integrated social welfare data certificates, and community complaints.
Merlan S. Uloli emphasizes that these steps are part of her commitment to providing the best services to the community.
She sees it as crucial to address concerns in implementing programs and ensuring that data on impoverished individuals receiving assistance and services are well-managed.
“I hope this is not just a ceremony; it should expand its services over time. Budget considerations are also essential. We, as the government, exist to serve the people.
I will continue to monitor this. The community must be aware that there is a dedicated service for the impoverished at the MPP,” stated Merlan, who is also the Chair of the Coordination Team for Poverty Alleviation in the Bone Bolango Region. (*)
