Hargo.co.id, JAKARTA – Acting Governor of Gorontalo, Ismail Pakaya, opened a coordination meeting and synchronization held at Hotel Orchart, Mangga Besar Jakarta, on Monday (28/1/2024).
The meeting is related to the program activities in the field of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Areas (PUPR-PKP) in the regencies/cities across Gorontalo Province.
“I want all PUPR sectors to be strong and active, not reactive. For example, regarding roads, there are district, provincial, and national road segments,” said Ismail.
“But when the road is damaged, people don’t care whether it’s the responsibility of the village, district, province, or nation,” he added.
In response, Ismail requested that all PUPR-PKP program activities be synchronized between the Gorontalo Provincial Government and regencies/cities, including the Road Agency.
According to him, such synchronization is crucial to prevent the same road segment from being handled by three different units.
“The synchronization of program activities must be carried out for all fields within PUPR-PKP,” he expressed.
This includes fields such as water resources, infrastructure, and land. This also includes changes to the spatial planning of Gorontalo Province.
“I request that the synchronization of program activities be discussed thoroughly. After this coordination meeting, the implementation of development can proceed immediately,” he emphasized. (Release)
