Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – In line with its duties, the Pohuwato District Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) conducted a Training Of Trainer (TOT) for Election Witness Training for the 2024 Election on Tuesday (26/12/2023).

The training, held at Marina Beach Resort (MBR) Marisa, was attended not only by representatives of election witnesses but also by Bawaslu Pohuwato officials and Election Supervisory Committees (Panwaslu) from across the district.
During the TOT, Amran Hulubalangga, a Bawaslu Pohuwato official, emphasized the importance of the training in fulfilling the legal mandate for Bawaslu to provide guidance to election witnesses assigned for the February 14, 2024 election.

He stressed the need for witnesses to understand their roles and responsibilities during the electoral process to avoid discrepancies in perceptions regarding the validity of the vote count.
Munawar, another member of Bawaslu Pohuwato, highlighted the crucial role of election witnesses in the electoral process.
He urged participants to place competent witnesses who understand the regulations to prevent errors due to their lack of knowledge during the upcoming election.
Sophian Rahmola, a member of the Gorontalo Provincial Election Commission (KPU), and Ahmad Abdullah, a former member of the Gorontalo Provincial Bawaslu, were present as resource persons for the training. (*)
