Hargo.co.id, EAST KALIMANTAN – Tabongo Timur Village, Tabongo Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency, has been recognized as a national exemplary anti-corruption village by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the special category.
For this achievement, Tabongo Village received an award, accepted by the Head of Tabongo Timur Village, Hariyanto N Ismail, during the launch event of the 2023 anti-corruption village program in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan, on Tuesday (28/11/2023).
The designation of Tabongo Timur Village as the best national anti-corruption village is based on the assessment of accountable financial management. Out of 81 exemplary villages, Tabongo Timur Village scored 91.
The achievement of Tabongo Timur Village made Gorontalo Regent, Nelson Pomalingo, proud. According to Nelson, the accomplishment is not an easy feat, as it requires meeting criteria and passing KPK’s selection.
Nelson stated that in maintaining governance stability in the Gorontalo Regency, corruption is a real enemy in regional development that can deprive people of their rights and bring suffering.
“This achievement is our collective pride because out of 81 villages in Indonesia, Tabongo Timur Village is one of the winners in the special category,” Nelson said.
On that occasion, Nelson also expressed appreciation to the KPK for designating Tabongo Timur Village as an exemplary anti-corruption village.
He promised to continue supporting the anti-corruption village program and urged other villages in Gorontalo Regency to take Tabongo Timur Village as an example in financial management.
“The Gorontalo Regency government hopes that through the Village Development Index (IDM), we not only exceed development targets but also promote a culture of anti-corruption in villages, including in cultural and religious aspects.”

Meanwhile, the Head of Tabongo Timur Village, Hariyanto N Ismail, explained that the assessment targets for Gorontalo Province were in five villages spread across four regencies.
Gorontalo Regency was represented by Tabongo Timur Village and Pilohayanga Village based on the recommendation of the Gorontalo Province PMD through the Inspectorate.
He revealed that out of 81 villages selected nationwide and after observations for five villages, Tabongo Timur entered the nomination from 22 villages in Indonesia.
“As a result, it was designated to represent Gorontalo Province and participated in the guidance training on July 6, involving representatives from various village institutions such as the village apparatus, BPD, LPM, PKK, cultural and youth figures, women’s groups, with a total of 70 participants.”
He added that the achievements obtained this year in the village competition at the sub-district, regency, and provincial levels placed Tabongo Timur Village as the best in the first category. At the national level, it ranked fourth in the special category.
“With this achievement, Tabongo Timur Village received an additional Rp 174,200,000 in village funds and obtained a grant from the Ministry of Villages through the Directorate General of Village Economic Investment amounting to Rp 200 million, as well as CSR funds from ASTRA amounting to Rp 180 million.”
Not only that, but we also received an award as a civilized village, which is also a program of the Gorontalo Regency local government, and received a reward of Rp 25 million,” he concluded. (*)
