Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Following the receipt of the audit performance report (LHP) for the second semester of 2023 at the office of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) Regional Representative of Gorontalo Province, the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Gorontalo District, as a supervisory institution, will take action on the LHP.

DPRD Chairman Syam T Ase stated that in following up on the LHP, they would schedule a discussion meeting.
“As we know, the BPK LHP aims to uphold the principles of accountability and transparency in regional government. Therefore, we will follow up on the LHP. Hopefully, in the near future, we will schedule a discussion meeting,” said Syam.

Syam further stated that the function of the BPK is highly strategic, ensuring whether the management of regional finances allocated in the Regional Budget (APBD) has been optimally implemented.
According to the provisions of article 5 paragraph 2 letter a of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) No. 13 of 2010, it is stated that examinations with specific objectives, including compliance with laws and regulations, are discussed by the DPRD at the latest.
“Because, in the regulations, the results of the BPK examination are notified to the DPR with the aim of being used by the DPR in carrying out general oversight tasks over the administration of government. The existence of the BPK actually strengthens the implementation of democracy in its truest sense,” emphasized Syam.
This PPP politician also did not forget to appreciate the Gorontalo District Government for achieving the third rank in the Highest Progress category in the Milestone Report Realization of Audit Results (TLRHP) BPK in the Gorontalo Province region for the year 2023.
Syam continued to state that this success reflects the dedication of the regent and all levels of the regional government in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of development program implementation.
“This success is not without the hard work of all parties involved, both in the regional government and the BPK. This serves as an encouragement for us to continue improving the quality of financial management and governance in Gorontalo district,” expressed this three-term legislator.
He also added that in an effort to improve accountability and transparency in governance, Gorontalo Regent Nelson Pomalingo actively participates in the performance evaluation conducted by the BPK. With a positive and open attitude, he welcomes the audit results and appreciates the good cooperation between the regency government and the BPK.
“Thanks to the hard work of the BPK team, these audit results will serve as an evaluation to continue improving public services and enhancing the transparency of regional finances,” said Syam.
Syam hopes that from this LHP result, several findings and notes for the Gorontalo District government can be followed up and improved in the future.
“In line with the government’s commitment to continue improving the performance of the Regional Government for the progress and welfare of the people of Gorontalo District,” he concluded. (*)
