Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Support for legislative candidate (Caleg) for the People’s Consultative Assembly (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia from the Gorontalo Province electoral district (Dapil) number 3, Sawaludin, continues to pour in.

Previously, former member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), AD Khali, expressed his support. This time, several Christian residents in Pulubala Village, Central City District, Gorontalo City, have declared their readiness to support Sawaludin on his journey to the parliament.
The support from Christian residents was conveyed by Ester Pongoh, a member of the Advent congregation in Gorontalo City, during a dialogical campaign interview on Monday (1/8/2024).

“We are ready to support Sawaludin to advance to the parliament and fight for the aspirations of the people of Gorontalo at the national level,” emphasized Ester.
She admitted that for three consecutive legislative elections (Pileg), she and her close family always voted for candidates from the PPP, even though the PPP is known as an Islamic-based party.
Ester emphasized that candidates from any religion are the same. What matters most to Ester is the program prepared by the candidates themselves. Moreover, she stated that PPP candidates have never failed to fulfill the commitments made during the campaign.
“For three legislative election periods, I have chosen candidates from the PPP because they can prove the promises they made,” revealed Ester.
“Because what we need is a people’s program for mutual progress and improvement of our welfare as a community,” she added.
Returning to the support for Sawaludin, Ester hopes that the support given can lead Sawaludin to the DPR RI. This way, Gorontalo will progress and develop further.
“Better economy and certainly a reduction in poverty rates,” hoped Ester, which was also echoed by other congregation members. (*)
