Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Learning from the experience of the 2023 budget year, the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of North Gorontalo (Gorut) plans to hold a joint meeting with the Gorut Regional Government, including the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD).
According to Deputy Chairman I, Roni Imran, the meeting aims to conduct an initial evaluation of the budget implementation and regional development programs in 2024.
“Surely the DPRD will schedule a meeting or joint meeting with the local government and TAPD, which is planned to be held next week,” said Roni when contacted by the media.
Furthermore, Roni stated that although the 2024 Regional Budget (APBD) had been approved in 2023, learning from the 2023 budget year, preparations are necessary for 2024.
“Of course, we all do not want the conditions in 2023 to recur, so early evaluations need to be conducted, including the policies to be taken when something happens,” explained Roni.
He added that many topics would be discussed at the upcoming meeting. Among them, Roni mentioned the definite budget sources, budget allocations, various possible additional funding sources, and various agendas faced by the region, whether national or local-scale agendas that the region must pay serious attention to, all need to be seriously discussed.
“All of this has a significant impact on the budgeting process and, of course, affects regional development programs,” he emphasized.
Moreover, various rules and regulations that must be adjusted in accordance with regional policies must also be considered to avoid incidents that could harm all parties.
“Therefore, the DPRD will make every effort, but it all depends on the executive as the policy-maker and implementer,” he concluded. (*)
