Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The 2024 elections have entered the campaign phase, and the Pohuwato Regency Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) is intensifying its monitoring efforts.

One such effort is collective supervision of the campaign activities of one of the election participants on Wednesday (12/6/2023).
Held in North Lemito Village, Lemito District, the supervision was attended by members of the Pohuwato Regency Election Supervisory Board, Munawar, Lemito District Election Supervisory Committee (Panwascam) officials, and the local Village Election Supervisory Committee.

Coordinator of the Violations Handling and Dispute Resolution Division (P3S), Munawar, mentioned during the occasion that this supervision is part of Bawaslu’s efforts to ensure that all election stages, including campaigns, adhere to the rules established by the General Election Commission (PKPU).
“It is our duty to ensure that each stage is carried out in accordance with the rules, including the campaign stages conducted by each participant,” said Munawar, a member of the Pohuwato Regency Election Supervisory Board.
The supervision conducted by Bawaslu, from the regency level down to the sub-district and village levels, according to Munawar, is crucial to ensuring that the 2024 elections in Pohuwato Regency proceed honestly, fairly, and with quality.
“The team also checks whether the campaign materials presented comply with the applicable regulations because this oversight is part of our responsibility to ensure that the election stages conducted by participants do not violate the rules. It also ensures that there is no practice of vote-buying in any campaign activities,” he concluded.(*)
