Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Gorontalo City Police Department apprehended a man identified as LH, a resident of Padebuolo Subdistrict, East City District, Gorontalo City, Thursday (14/12/2023) morning.
LH was arrested by the police based on a citizen’s report, caught red-handed engaging in Togel gambling by inputting numbers into an application on his mobile phone.
“So, residents disturbed by online gambling reported to the Police Chief’s Helpline, prompting the eagle team to immediately secure LH,” said Kompol Leonardo Widharta, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Gorontalo City Police Department.
Meanwhile, from LH’s arrest, the eagle team successfully seized tens of thousands of rupiah, one mobile phone, a Togel gambling site with a balance of hundreds of thousands of rupiah, one ATM card, and a piece of scribbled paper.
On the other hand, after a marathon examination, LH was designated as a suspect and detained in the detention room of Gorontalo City Police Department, charged under Article 303 of the Criminal Code.
“We are serious about eradicating gambling; anyone caught will be processed under the applicable law,” concluded Leonardo.(*)
