Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Ridwan Monoarfa’s clarification regarding the incident during the modelo traditional ceremony for Rachmat Gobel’s son, Arif Rachmat Gobel, with Yasmine Naomi at Graha Azizah, received a response from Ismet Mile.
Former Bone Bolango Regent firmly stated that there were only two rooms at the event: the VIP room and the dining area. Ismet clarified that there was no VVIP room as claimed by Ridwan Monoarfa.
“I saw only two rooms there, the dining area and the VIP room. Besides these two rooms, there were no other rooms,” said Ismet Mile when contacted by the media on Sunday (19/11/2023).
As a result, Ismet admitted to being a bit confused by Ridwan Monoarfa’s statement that he had wrongly occupied a room.
“My invitation is for the VIP. I am a former official, a former regent, deputy regent, so I understand seating arrangements and protocol,” he emphasized.
Ismet also explained that the modelo ceremony was a traditional event. In every traditional event, he said, the governor, former governor, regent, former regent, mayor, and former mayor share the same area.
“I am not disrespecting anyone. In traditional events, the seating for regents and former regents is in the same place,” Ismet said.
Earlier reports stated that Ridwan Monoarfa claimed he never expelled Ismet Mile and his wife, Yayu Alamri. According to him, Ismet Mile and Yayu Alamri were directed to the room designated for VIP invitations.
“They entered the VVIP room, while their invitation was for VIP. I said, Mr. Ismet, your place is next door; this is the VVIP area. So, I want to emphasize, I did not expel them. I only directed them to the VIP room, which is next to the VVIP room,” Ridwan emphasized on Sunday (19/11/2023).
Ridwan asserted that the event organizers had assigned seating for each invitation, including Ismet Mile and Yayu Alamri.
“The chairs were labeled with the names of the invited guests, such as the police chief, regent, mayor. So, I did not expel them. They were in the VIP area with university rectors and former officials. I want to emphasize again; I did not expel them. How can someone be expelled after being invited?” Ridwan said. (*)
