Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The polemic surrounding the dismissal of the Acting Village Chief (Kades) in Botumoputi Village, Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency, is in accordance with existing regulations.

This was affirmed by the Head of the Village Administration Office of Gorontalo Regency, Zubair Pomalingo, on Sunday (28/1/2024).
“The dismissal of the Acting Village Chief of Botumoputi is in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) number 66 of 2017 amendment to Permendagri number 82 of 2015 concerning the appointment and dismissal of village chiefs as stipulated in article 8 paragraph 2.

Therefore, the dismissal of the Acting Village Chief of Botumoputi is in accordance with the regulations and not due to any other tendencies,” he emphasized.
Therefore, Zubair reiterated, there is no form of injustice as claimed by some parties.
“Regarding the information stating that there was injustice related to the dismissal circulating during campaign speeches in Botumoputi Village last weekend, it is not true.
He (the Acting Village Chief) was replaced because there were indeed internal issues in the village and we have attempted mediation, but it was still not heeded,” Zubair explained.
Zubair pointed out that even Acting Governors can be replaced, let alone Acting Village Chiefs. Therefore, he hopes that this issue will not be taken elsewhere.
“Because this is indeed in accordance with regulations and is the prerogative of the region in appointing and dismissing officials within the Gorontalo Regency Government,” Zubair concluded. (*)
