Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Chairman of Commission III of the Gorontalo District DPRD, Sladauri Kinga, highlights the increasing cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in the area.
He revealed that based on available data, there were 85 cases in January, and it is predicted that the number will further increase in February.
“The spread of DHF requires serious attention. We must prevent further spikes and avoid any more deaths in the community,” explained Sladauri.
The two-term legislator said that based on data from the Health Office, the number of DHF cases in the Gorontalo District has drastically increased. Out of the 85 positive DHF cases, approximately 60 patients have already recovered.
“Out of the 85 cases found, 66 individuals have recovered while others are still under hospital care, and we pray that no one will succumb to the disease,” hoped the PAN politician.
Furthermore, he stated that DHF cases need to be taken seriously because the disease can lead to death if not properly managed.
“The DHF cases need serious attention to prevent further escalation. Programs such as socialization or the 4M campaign, fogging, and larviciding need to be intensified,” said Sladauri.
He added that children are the most vulnerable to DHF. He expressed gratitude that the cases were detected early, so out of the 85 cases, there have been no deaths yet.
“Alhamdulillah, the Health Office acted swiftly. We hope continuous monitoring and more vigorous socialization regarding DHF will prevent any fatalities,” said Sladauri.
Finally, he urged the public to remain vigilant against all emerging diseases, especially Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. (*)
