Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The North Gorontalo Regency Government (Gorut) conducted an open dialogue on developing the coastal economy in the IKN region and the northern gateway of Indonesia.
The event featured prominent business figures, Jupri Budiman, representatives from various banks, including BI, BRI, Bank Mandiri, and BSG, as well as government agencies (OPD) and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) stakeholders on Thursday (30/11/2023).
During the event, Gorut Regent Thariq Modanggu emphasized that the region he leads has the potential to progress in line with other areas. However, he pointed out that various regional potentials still need attention in terms of management, funding, and other aspects.
Therefore, Thariq hoped that dialogues like this could stimulate potential and future UMKM development.
On the other hand, some OPDs hoped that Jupri Budiman could serve as a mentor for certain planned regional potentials but faced challenges in terms of funding.
Participants in the dialogue also expected the banking sector, including BI, BRI, Bank Mandiri, and BSG, to consider loan interest rates, provide special treatment for UMKM actors, and address concerns related to BI Checking.
Meanwhile, Jupri Budiman emphasized that serious efforts are required for growth. He shared his own experience, starting from selling oil using gallon containers, eventually developing his own company. “It requires dedication and seriousness,” he emphasized.
He hoped that the regional government could pay attention to significant potential in the region, such as crabs, shrimp, and sardine fish, which have export opportunities. (*)
