Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Gorontalo Province has been chosen to host the annual event from the Kurir Langit Modern Mosque, welcoming thousands of students, orphans, the underprivileged, disabled individuals, and Quran memorizers.
The grand event, called the Prayer of a Thousand Students (DSS), is scheduled to take place on Saturday (2/3/2024) at the El Hajj Center building, Gorontalo City Hajj Dormitory.
“Alhamdulillah, this year the grand event of the prayer of a thousand students, an annual agenda of the Kurir Langit Modern Mosque, will be held outside Barru City, South Sulawesi, for the first time.
Carrying the theme of a special prayer of a thousand students for Palestine, thousands of students from various Islamic boarding schools, orphanages, and partner PASKAS ponds will be delighted with various performances, feasts, and the best gifts,” said Ustadz Rizal Saleh Rahmola, also the chairman of the DSS organizing committee for this year, on Sunday (28/01/2024).
Still, according to Ustadz Rizal, last Saturday, Kyai Muhammad Nur Syahid, the President of the Kurir Langit Modern Mosque, took the time to come with his team to Gorontalo to provide motivation and encouragement to volunteers to ensure the success of the grand event.
“This is a very grand event and the first to be held in Gorontalo, so we need motivation, encouragement, and reinforcement as servants of these students from our teacher Kyai Muhammad Nur Syahid, as the President of the Kurir Langit Modern Mosque,” continued Ustadz Rizal.
Meanwhile, Kyai Muhammad Nur Syahid, in front of the volunteers, emphasized that the success of this event is not due to the committee but because of the permission and blessing of Allah SWT.
And of course, without this event, without the committee or volunteers, these Quran memorizers are still loved by Allah SWT.
“The students, orphans, the underprivileged, disabled individuals, and Quran memorizers are little angels with few sins; their daily life is filled with learning and worship in the dormitory.
It is not a loss for us to entrust and even borrow their hands to pray for the safety, happiness, and tranquility for us. It should be remembered that it is not they who need us, but we who need them,” said the figure familiarly known as Kyai Syahid.
For information, thousands of students at this DSS event will participate in two sessions during the event. From morning until noon, students will enjoy various performances, followed by a feast rarely found in dormitories.
The climax of the event, after the Dhuhr prayer, is when thousands of students will join in praying to knock on the door of heaven.
“The agenda is full-day. From morning until noon, students will witness many performances, feasts, and gifts of happiness, and not only will 1000 children in Gorontalo be honored and delighted, but 1000 children in Palestine will also receive gifts, which, when converted to rupiah, can reach 1 million/child.
Especially for the 1000 children in Gorontalo attending this DSS, the peak of their happiness will be when thousands of little angel hands pray to knock on the door of Allah’s mercy and help for all of us, for the glory of Islam and Muslims, and for the safety of the nation and homeland,” explained Kyai Syahid.
