Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The actions of Gorontalo Vice Regent, Hendra Hemeto, going berserk during the inauguration of structural officials were triggered by his disappointment for not being involved in the formulation of the appointment process in Gorontalo Regency.
According to him, at the very least, the regent should coordinate with him. “Let alone coordination, even the invitation was sent just before the event was about to start,” said Hendra when interviewed by several media crews.
Hendra emphasized that the Gorontalo Regent, Nelson Pomalingo, is running the government without adhering to bureaucratic ethics.
Throughout one leadership term, Hendra stated that Regent Nelson Pomalingo tended to neglect his role as the Vice Regent of Gorontalo.
“In the government, it’s a package deal, the regent and vice-regent, not the secretary or assistant. So far, Nelson has overlooked the existence of the vice-regent,” explained Hendra.
Furthermore, Hendra asserted that he never had an issue with who was appointed as an official. However, the actions of the Gorontalo Regent not coordinating with him, according to him, have crossed the line.
Hendra also criticized the actions of several officials in the Gorontalo Regency government, whom he described as power-hungry. Apparently, these officials also do not understand bureaucratic ethics.
“This is a recurring incident. Always treating me as if I don’t exist, so what happened today is an accumulation of previous incidents. Remember, NDH exists because I’m also in it, not just Nelson,” he emphasized.
He also regretted the lack of coordination with him in the implementation of the government’s activities.
“So far, the existence of the vice-regent has been ignored, and I have remained silent even though considered non-existent.
The procedures for appointing officials have always been based on rules, but there must be ethics, there must be coordination, whether it is only coordinated with the regent,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Head of BKPSDM, Jufri Damima, said that the inauguration of structural officials in the Gorontalo Regency government was not canceled but postponed.
“Postponed, not canceled, because there is already an SK (Decree) signed, and according to the rules, the SK must be implemented from the signing until the next 30 days.
So there is no cancellation of the SK, only its implementation was postponed this afternoon,” said Jufri.
On that occasion, Jufri also denied Vice Regent Gorontalo Hendra Hemeto’s accusations regarding a violation of bureaucratic ethics.
Jufri explained that in the process of appointing and dismissing officials, it is the authority of the Personnel Development Officer (PPK), in this case, the Gorontalo Regent, and the performance appraisal team, namely the secretary.
“The PPK is the official given the authority to appoint and dismiss officials,” emphasized Jufri.
Furthermore, Jufri explained that the officials to be inaugurated today have gone through discussions with the Performance Appraisal Team and have been agreed upon by the PPK, so there is no violation of the rules, and it is in accordance with the applicable procedures.
“So what the Vice Regent complains about not being involved, I emphasize that it is solely the authority of the PPK, in this case, the Gorontalo Regent,” Jufri concluded. (*)
