Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Vice Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Commission I of North Gorontalo Regency (Gorut), Matran Lasunte, extends a warm welcome to the Acting Regent of Gorut, Sila Botutihe. Matran hopes that Sila can lead Gorut towards a better future.
“Welcome to Gorut, be a good leader who can enhance the image of Gorut even further,” said Matran during a conversation with several media personnel on Wednesday (12/6/2023).
For Matran, any regional leader is undoubtedly good, and what needs to be realized is the responsibility that comes with the entrusted position.
“There is a significant responsibility because this position is not just a title to be contested, but rather a mandate in the position being held is the main focus,” he emphasized.
Matran further stated that in fulfilling their duties, a leader must do so with excellence. Matran urged Sila not to repeat the actions of the previous Regent.
“Such as the humiliating attitude towards his subordinates, which happened not long ago, invited for inauguration and then canceled. It happened to several officials, some of whom were already at the location and received congratulations from their colleagues,” he said.
Certainly, Matran said such examples are not good and actually depict cruel behavior for a leadership figure.
“What should happen when a regional leader completes their term is a positive conclusion, but it is the opposite,” Matran emphasized.
That is just one example that has caused a sensation and circulated in the news. Of course, according to Matran, there are many other things that the current Regent should pay attention to.
“Focus on what needs to be done. If you genuinely want to improve the bureaucracy, do it well. Because the people and other stakeholders are waiting,” Matran Lasunte concluded. (*)
