Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – With the rapid development of information technology today, it is also expected to be accompanied by the vigilance of the public in choosing and sorting information.

In connection with this, Chairperson of Commission I, North Gorontalo Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Rina Polapa, urges the public to perform repeated checks on every piece of information received.
Not without reason. According to the leading figure of Golkar, there is some information conveyed to the public that turns out to be inaccurate, hence the importance of checking and rechecking.

“Yes, that’s right. There is information conveyed, but it turns out to be incorrect,” she said.
Moreover, she emphasized. Things or information related to regional development programs, according to Rina, should not be immediately accepted by the community.
“It’s better for the public to seek other information from more competent parties,” Rina asserted.
Especially, in the current political stage, various information that can be exploited will be used and conveyed to the public.
“Regardless of any interests, I hope that the public is also smart and can understand every piece of information conveyed by various parties,” she said.
Regarding development programs related to aspirations and others, Rina emphasized that many things have not been realized due to the current conditions.
“For Atinggola Subdistrict, such as Pasir Putih, there is already clarity for the road construction, which is planned to use funds directly from the River Basin,” said the Golkar legislator.
As for Wapalo, as per the current circulating information about the road construction in Wapalo,
it is not in Wapalo Subdistrict but in Anggrek Subdistrict.
“This information has circulated in the community, and of course, people are very happy. However, this information is not correct because it is not in Atinggola Subdistrict but in another Subdistrict,” she explained.
Therefore, Rina says the public must be smart and selective in receiving information from various parties,
so that they will not be disappointed when it turns out to be incorrect. (*)
