Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The existence of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) is crucial for the region, especially in enforcing local regulations (Perda). In North Gorontalo Regency (Gorut), the presence of Satpol PP is also vital.
However, the performance of these enforcers is hindered by extremely minimal regional budgets.
Moreover, most of the Satpol PP personnel in Gorut are still honorary, leading to an inability to fully meet their needs.
In response, media representatives sought the opinion of Deputy Chairman of Commission 1, Matran Lasunte.
PPP legislator acknowledges the importance and clear role of Satpol PP. Matran stated that they continuously strive to allocate budgets for honorariums.
“Institutionally, we have fought for budget allocations for honorariums, but the current financial condition of the region is quite extreme,” he explained.
Matran emphasized that they continue to communicate and seek solutions to this issue because as enforcers of local regulations, action must be taken.
“For Satpol PP personnel who are civil servants, there are only a few, which is not sufficient. Especially with various national agendas and the implementation of local regulations,” Matran Lasunte asserted.
Therefore, Matran hopes for the best solution to this issue, ensuring the region’s needs are met. (*)
