Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Governor’s appeal through letter number 470/DKPS-PMD/74/1/2024 dated January 16, 2024, has had a significant impact on the increase of E-ID card registrations and IKD activations in Gorontalo.
This was conveyed by the Head of PIAK and Data Utilization Division of the Gorontalo Provincial Dukacapil PMD Office, Amran Pahrun, to the media on Tuesday (30/1/2023).
“Yes, based on the available data, there has indeed been an increase in community participation, especially among first-time voters in secondary schools, including schools under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs,” said Amran.
He explained that they are currently focusing on E-ID card registration and IKD activation. This is considered very important given that the election is just around the corner.
Previously, the Acting Governor of Gorontalo, Ismail Pakaya, urged all government, private, SOE, regional-owned enterprises, and community leaders to activate Digital Population Identity (IKD).
“With all due respect, it is hoped that all officials and their staff in Government Agencies, Private Sector, SOEs, Regional-Owned Enterprises, and Universities can activate IKD,” the Governor hoped.
The request to activate IKD is directed by the Governor to officials, staff, and the public who already have E-ID cards and smartphones.
“Activation can be done by visiting the nearest Civil Registration Office or the Mobile Service of the Civil Registration Office,” he added.
The letter refers to the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2023 concerning Acceleration of Digital Transformation and Integration of National Digital Services.
Also, Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 72 of 2022 concerning Standards and Specifications for Hardware, Software, and Blanks of Electronic ID Cards (E-ID) and IKD Implementation. (*)
