Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO –The Gorontalo Provincial Government has urged the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) to maintain a consistent perception in preserving the stability of inflation figures.
This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Gorontalo Provincial Government, Sofian Ibrahim, at the Bank Indonesia Building on Tuesday (30/1/2024).
“We hope that the content to be discussed later can be synchronized in frequency,” Sofian said during the Capacity Building activity for Food Survey and Data Management
The event was attended by the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Gorontalo Province, Mukhamad Mukhanif, heads of regional offices, provincial and district enumerators, and city officials.
“Through this activity, we hope everything can be aligned, including the information obtained, activities to be carried out in the field, and guidelines, so there will be no discrepancies,” he continued.
He also emphasized that the most important thing is the presentation of data obtained from the field.
He explained that the data obtained from surveyors and enumerators in the field serve as material for TPID to consider in policy-making.
“For example, when there is a case according to high oil price data, but there is a high stock, we can use that as a consideration to analyze what is happening,” he explained.
In the same place, the Head of BI Gorontalo, Dian Nugraha, explained that this activity was carried out as regional preparation to maintain inflation stability.
Currently, Dian said, achieving the national target is becoming increasingly difficult, so more maximum efforts are needed.
“Entering 2024, of course, our challenges are even greater because the national inflation target has been released at 2.5 percent plus or minus one percent,” he explained.
He revealed that they had worked to the maximum last year, but still fell short at the end of the year.
“Therefore, through today’s activity, it becomes one of our strategic steps in maintaining data accuracy to preserve inflation stability,” he added. (Release)
