Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – To support the food resilience of the community in Buntulia District, politician from the United Development Party (PPP), Febriyanto Mardain, once again distributed food assistance to the residents.
At least 400 people received aid through the PPP youth aspiration program, which was combined with the first-year fifth-session recess on Thursday (7/12/2023).
Through his program, Febriyanto hopes that the assistance he advocates for can alleviate the needs of the community amid the gradual increase in basic commodity prices.
“This assistance is a regional government program advocated through the aspiration program that we absorbed from all of you.
Alhamdulillah, this aspiration assistance can be felt by the community, especially those in Buntulia District,” said Febriyanto Mardain.
During this recess, the residents of Buntulia District also conveyed several aspirations, ranging from street lighting to the dredging of the irrigation network in Buntulia Tengah Village. ‘
Not only that, the rice field farmers present in this recess also questioned when the irrigation channels would be operational again.
As is known, the construction of the Buntulia-Duhiadaa irrigation network is still in the process of completion. However, in the near future, the irrigation network will be tested.
If there are no obstacles, starting early next year, the irrigation network will be operational.
In line with this, Febriyanto Mardain emphasizes to the regional government to ensure that the irrigation network functions properly. He does not want, entering the planting season, the irrigation network to malfunction.
“The farming community has been eagerly waiting for when they can plant again. Next year, the irrigation network will be operational, on December 24, it will be tested whether it functions well or not, its irrigation function,” explained Febriyanto Mardain.
“We request the Regional Government through the relevant Department to ensure that the irrigation network functions properly before it is utilized by the community,” pleaded Febriyanto Mardain. (*)
