Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Gorontalo Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Angesta Romano Yoyol, led the troop deployment parade for Operation Lilin Otanaha 2023 on Thursday (December 21, 2023).
The parade involved 1,460 personnel, comprising 577 members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), 357 Indonesian National Army (TNI) personnel, and 391 individuals from related institutions.
The event was attended by the Acting Governor and Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of Gorontalo Province, as well as the top officials (PJU) of Gorontalo Regional Police.
The Police Chief stated that this operation is a strategic measure to ensure the security of the Christmas 2023 celebration and welcome the New Year 2024. All personnel are ready to carry out security duties with full dedication.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the TNI-Polri, local government, and the community in creating a secure environment.
“This operation reflects our commitment to protecting the community during the Christmas celebration and New Year 2024,” said the Police Chief.
The involved personnel, according to the Police Chief, will secure 188 churches to ensure safety and peace during the Christmas 2023 celebration.
“We will provide extra security for these 188 churches to create a sense of safety and peace during the Christmas worship in 2023,” he concluded.(*)
