Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – December 17 marks a significant and historic moment for the AKABRI 98 alumni.
On this day, the four armed forces cadet branches (AAD, AAL, AAU, and AKPOL) of the 1995 recruitment successfully completed their three-year education 25 years ago.
They were inaugurated by the then-President of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, Jakarta.
As an expression of gratitude, the AKABRI 1998 alumni, named “NAWAHASTA,” annually organize activities, including social service.
In Gorontalo, five high-ranking officials (PJU) from the Gorontalo Regional Police Class of 1998 visited Podutuma Village, Teratai Subdistrict, Tobongo District, Gorontalo Province, on Friday (12/15/2023).
The PJU members provided assistance to the less fortunate. The five high-ranking officials from the Gorontalo Regional Police are Dirpolairud Commissioner Pol Syaiful Alam, and Dirreskrimum Commissioner Pol Nur Santiko.
Additionally, Dirsamapta Commissioner Pol Mohammad Zamroni, Ka SPN Commissioner Pol Agus Widodo, and Karolog Commissioner Pol Wahyu Tri Cahyono.
Dirpolairud Commissioner Syaiful Alam stated that the activity is part of the AKABRI 1998 alumni’s commitment to commemorating their 25 years of service in the Indonesian National Police.
“Today, there should be six of us, but one of our colleagues, namely Dirreskrimsus Commissioner Pol Taufan Dirgantoro, is on duty,” said Commissioner Syaiful.
They visited the homes of less fortunate community members and invited them to the SPN to receive assistance.
“We have prepared 200 aid packages to distribute to the less fortunate,” said Dirpolairud of the Gorontalo Regional Police.
He emphasized that the presence of AKABRI 98 alumni should bring benefits to the nation and its people.
“It is our commitment to be servants of the state, always present to protect, serve, and care for the community while upholding the unity of the Indonesian state,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dirreskrimum Commissioner Nur Santiko, while providing aid packages, expressed sympathy for the condition of one resident.
He observed the disabled condition of the person’s hands and feet, sitting on the floor with a mat. He hoped the assistance would be beneficial.
Subsequently, the delegation of Gorontalo Regional Police’s PJU AKABRI 1998 alumni visited a fisherman who is currently paralyzed.
“Hopefully, this assistance can lighten the burden for the father and his family,” said Wahyu.
The community outreach activity to assist disabled and less fortunate individuals received positive responses from the residents.
“Thank you, sir, for your assistance. This is very helpful for us in difficult situations like now,” said Ismail, a fisherman in Lake Limboto.
“May Allah SWT reward your kindness, and may Allah facilitate the careers of all of you to higher ranks, even to become generals,” he added. (*)
