Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Gorontalo Regional Police distributed charity aid to orphanages on Friday (12/01/2024).
The aid, channeled through the Human Resources Bureau, was given to children from the Marhaman Orphanage in Gorontalo City and the Al Inayah Orphanage in Bone Bolango Regency.
The event was followed by “Jumat Berkah” (Blessed Friday), held at the Az-Zikrah Mosque at the Gorontalo Regional Police headquarters.
This initiative, as explained by Police Inspector General Angesta Romano Yoyol through the Head of Public Relations, Police Commissioner Desmont Harjendro, is part of the Gorontalo Regional Police’s program to strengthen ties with children in orphanages.
“This activity is a program of the Gorontalo Regional Police to strengthen ties with children in orphanages,” said Desmont.
The aim of this activity is to create familiarity, care, and a sense of togetherness between police officers and children in orphanages.
“This activity aims to provide moral support and warmth to children in orphanages,” he said.
“We want them to feel the togetherness and care from the extended family of the Gorontalo Regional Police,” added Desmont.
This program is also expected to be a positive momentum that strengthens the relationship between the police and the community.
In particular, he said, the relationship with children who need attention.
“The Police Chief is committed to continuously supporting social activities involving orphanages and various layers of society,” he said.
“This is certainly for the realization of harmony and togetherness in its jurisdiction,” concluded Desmont.(*)
