Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The 51st anniversary of the United Development Party (PPP), celebrated every January 5, will be used as a momentum for revival to achieve victory in the 2024 general elections.
This was expressed by Sawaludin, the head of the Natural Resources Bureau of the PPP Central Executive Board, in his speech during the 51st PPP Anniversary organized by the PPP Bone Bolango Regional Leadership Council on Saturday (6/1/2024).
The victory mentioned by Sawaludin is to reclaim PPP’s seats in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the electoral district (Dapil) of Gorontalo Province, which has been occupied by figures from other parties for two periods.
“It’s time to restore PPP’s glory to regain the seats that were lent to other parties in the last two periods,” said Sawaludin.
Sawaludin continued, stating that PPP is a major party and has proven its consistency in safeguarding and advocating the welfare of the people.
“It’s proven not only in political work but also in social activities. Even the PPP Bone Bolango Regional Leadership Council, for the second time, was able to send PPP cadres and sympathizers for Umrah, and that is one of the reasons I chose to run through PPP,” emphasized Sawaludin.
He hoped that all PPP cadres and officials, down to the grassroots, would unite to achieve victory. (*)
