Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Despite the pouring rain, residents still flocked to attend the dialogical campaign of the PPP’s legislative candidate (Caleg) for the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) number 3, Sawaludin, and the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Gorontalo Regency (Kabgor) in the Limboto-Limboto Barat electoral district, number 8, Fatma Tuna, on Sunday (1/21/2024) in Tunggulo Village, West Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency.
Due to the overflowing crowd, the local Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) issued a warning to the campaign team of the party with the Ka’bah symbol.
“Yes, the Panwaslu warned us if the campaign exceeded capacity, but we explained that we provided 500 seats and if it exceeded that, it was beyond our control,” said the PPP campaign team in Gorontalo Regency, Alex Maga.
Alex explained that they couldn’t restrain residents who wanted to attend the dialogical campaign. For Alex, the number of residents attending the campaign location could be evidence of their enthusiasm in welcoming the democratic festivities.
“The enthusiasm of the residents cannot be contained. Alhamdulillah, despite the rain, many residents enthusiastically attended the campaign. This means that the enthusiasm of the residents in the democratic festivities is very good,” concluded Alex.(*)
