Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Healthcare workers (Nakes) at Kabila Bone Health Center are urged to maintain the quality of services to the public, especially patients seeking medical care.

This was conveyed by the Acting Regent of Bone Bolango, Merlan S. Uloli, while attending and delivering a speech at the Exit Conference of the Health Center Re-Accreditation Survey by the Surveyor team from the Accreditation Implementing Institution, at Kabila Bone Health Center.

“Do not just improve all services because we want accreditation. Accreditation can be obtained perfectly, but if the practice disappoints the community, it is useless,” emphasized Merlan.

Merlan revealed that sometimes at Health Centers, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) have been arranged, but there are patients who come outside the SOP. This is a test for healthcare workers on how to provide services to them, even though it is outside the SOP.

“Sometimes many of us do not sympathize with the community or patients. Nakes officers usually choose patients to serve. I hope this does not happen at Kabila Bone Health Center. All patients must be treated and served equally, with no discrimination. Being a medical worker is not easy; it is a calling, not just to have a job,” said Merlan.

Regarding accreditation, for Merlan, it is only an administrative process towards accreditation, a means towards perfection, but the essence lies in the souls of the Nakes.

“This Health Center is far from the city, often crowded with many patients. Hopefully, this becomes an example for inpatient Health Centers that provide pleasant services to people, bring joy to the community and patients, in line with the targeted full accreditation,” expressed Acting Regent Merlan Uloli.

He also hoped that the accreditation survey at Kabila Bone Health Center, targeted to be perfect, could be achieved.

“But my message is the intention and performance of the service or Nakes that continue to be the measure. Not only after accreditation is complete, then small things are forgotten,” he concluded. (*)
