Jokowi expressed his desire to return to Solo, Central Java, and live as an ordinary citizen after his tenure ends.
“Yes, returning to Solo, being an ordinary citizen,” he said during his visit to the Purworejo Traditional Market, Purworejo Regency, on Tuesday (2/1).
During the visit, journalists asked about the possibility of Jokowi becoming a UN official.
In response, Jokowi reiterated his statement, affirming his intention to return to Solo.
“Returning to Solo, being an ordinary citizen,” said Jokowi.
Previously, Jokowi expressed the same sentiment during a meeting with the Editorial Leadership of a national media at the Merdeka Palace on Thursday (10/8).
At that time, Jokowi also denied rumors that he would become the chairman of a political party after his term as President of Indonesia.
In the 2024 Presidential Election, there are three pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates determined by the Indonesian Election Commission (KPU).
