Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Tireless dedication characterizes the Acting Regent of Bone Bolango, Merlan Uloli.

Yes, the first female regent in Bone Bolango spent almost the entire day distributing government rice reserve aid (CBP) to residents in villages and neighborhoods in the Kabila District on Monday (25/12/2023).

Of the 12 villages and neighborhoods, Merlan visited each one to distribute the aid coordinated by the local government and Bulog (National Logistics Agency).

Despite recently attending an event organized by the Gorontalo Provincial Government in East Tulabolo, an area quite far from the city center, Merlan showed unwavering determination.

Merlan conveyed several messages to the residents before handing over the aid, including the importance of maintaining security and being informed voters in the upcoming 2024 elections.

“In 2024, we will face a democratic celebration. I hope that you all can maintain security so that the elections in Bone Bolango can be successful. During the elections, legislative elections will also be held.

I urge you all to choose representatives who truly care about the aspirations of the people. Do not vote for candidates who only want to buy your votes,” emphasized Merlan.

In addition to discussing the elections, Merlan also addressed strategies to cope with the soaring prices of basic commodities, particularly chili peppers.

According to Merlan, the issue of high chili pepper prices can be addressed if the community utilizes their backyard to cultivate chili.

“The government is currently taking steps to address the high price of chili peppers. Hopefully, the measures we are taking can control chili prices in the market,” Merlan explained.
