One House in Telaga Biru Consumed by the Red Blaze

Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – One house in Lupoyo Village, Telaga Biru Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency, owned by Sukardi Tule Sua (35) and Nangsih Imbran Nur (33), was engulfed in flames on Tuesday (12/5/2023) at around 21:50 Wita.

According to Cici, the daughter of Sukardi Tule and Nangsih, the fire originated from one of the bedrooms in their house.

At that time, Cici heard her father’s shouts, as the bedroom was already emitting thick smoke and flames that had begun to spread to the ceiling of the house.

“Panicking seeing the growing fire spreading to other parts of the building, my father tried to open the door and asked for help,” said Cici.

Not only Cici, but Roni, a neighbor of Sukardi, also heard the cries for help coming from Sukardi’s house.

“I saw from outside the house that the fire had already charred the roof in the kitchen. I immediately shouted for help to the surrounding community,” said Roni.

Roni and other residents tried to evacuate Sukardi’s family from inside the house. Meanwhile, other residents tried to extinguish the fire using makeshift equipment while contacting the Gorontalo Regency Fire Department.

“The situation was already chaotic, not knowing what to do,” said Roni.

Not long after, firefighting personnel arrived at the location and immediately extinguished the fire that had started to char the house.

Farid Taha, the Head of the Gorontalo Regency Fire Department, stated that the fire incident, according to information, had occurred since 21:50 Wita, and the team arrived at the location at 21:57.

“Upon arrival, we immediately took action from 22:08 to 23:50 Wita,” said Farid.

As of now, the cause of the fire is still being investigated by the authorities. However, according to several residents, the fire is strongly suspected to be caused by a short circuit or electrical malfunction.

Before the incident, the electricity supply to Sukardi’s house had experienced several power outages. (*)
