Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Gorontalo Regency is currently working on two draft local regulations (Ranperda), one of which will be the first of its kind in Indonesia.
It is the regulation on culture-based, history-based, and natural resources-based learning.
“Interestingly, especially for the Ranperda on culture-based, history-based, and natural resources-based learning in basic education units, it is the first regulation in Indonesia.
No one has proposed it before. Because what currently exists is only the regulation on local curriculum content,” said the Chairman of the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda), Hendra R Abdul.
Moreover, as explained by Hendra, the regulation on culture-based, history-based, and natural resources-based learning in basic education does not talk about the curriculum.
“So, we are not talking about the curriculum. But, the regulation is about how learning is based on culture, history, and natural resources,” he clarified.
“In essence, it can be followed up with the creation of, for example, content standards. Then the concept or document about culture-based learning, like a curriculum, and so on.
It will certainly be followed up through a regent regulation,” added Hendra.
With the existence of this regulation, according to Hendra, there will be several weaknesses in the region that can be addressed, including evaluating the effectiveness of learning.
“We include it as material in the Ranperda, especially in the section on research about learning.
So, we are obligated to conduct research studies on the learning output,” he concluded. (*)
