Hargo.co.id, WEST JAVA – The policy direction of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) for the year 2024 is being formulated and discussed through a joint meeting held from December 7-9, 2023, in Bogor, West Java.
The formulation is conducted by the Staff of the National Police Chief for General Planning and Budgeting (Srena Polri) and the National Police Commission (Kompolnas).
The Chief of Kompolnas, Police Inspector General (Ret.) Benny J. Mamoto, stated that the formulation of Polri’s policy direction is in accordance with the mandate of the Presidential Regulation.
“That is Presidential Regulation number 17 of 2011 concerning the National Police Commission in Article 5, paragraphs 1, 2, and 3,” Benny said in a press release on Friday (12/8/23).
According to him, formulating the strategic direction of Polri is a very strategic matter that must be done collaboratively with Srena Polri.
“So that the formulation of its policies can be implemented technically and operationally in accordance with regulations,” he added.
Later, Benny said, the results of the formulation and preparation would be documented in the form of recommendations and submitted to President Joko Widodo.
As for the presence of Srena Polri, Police Inspector General (Ret.) Benny mentioned that it greatly helps in providing detailed information regarding the development of Polri’s policies.
One of the themes discussed and included in the recommendations is about the handling model of public complaints. This was conveyed by Prof. Dr. Albertus Wahyurudhanto.
“It is hoped that in the future, this will embellish the One Data Polri policy, referring to Presidential Regulation Number 39 concerning One Data Indonesia for the optimal public service of Polri,” said Prof. Albertus.
Meanwhile, the representative of Srena Polri, Police Brigadier General Sambodo Purnomo Yugo, welcomed the research conducted by Kompolnas.
“The research themes are in accordance with those that have been and are being conceptually prepared by Srena Polri, including the draft of the Grand Strategy of Polri 2025-2045 Towards Golden Indonesia,” said Sambodo. (*)
