Allowed to Return Home, Sultan Expresses Gratitude to Police Chief

Hargo.co.id, JAKARTA – Sultan Rif’at, a fiber cable accident patient, has been allowed to return home for two weeks.

This was revealed by Brigadier General Pol Hariyanto, the Commander of the Polri Hospital Kramatjati.

Sultan Rif’at, whose expenses were covered by the Indonesian National Police (Polri), can now undergo outpatient treatment after four months of care at the Polri Hospital Kramatjati.

“The procedures performed ranged from improving general conditions to preparing psychiatric procedures, surgery,” said Hariyanto on Tuesday (12/12/2023).

“This includes post-surgery, speech therapy, and physiotherapy, which will be continued with outpatient care,” he added.

The Commander of the Polri Hospital also added that Sultan’s weight has also increased significantly. When admitted to the Polri Hospital, his weight was only 46 kg, and after four months of treatment, it became 56 kg.

“Two weeks at home, 61 kg,” said the Commander of the Polri Hospital.

In the same place, the Head of the Handling Team, Dr. Yosita Rahma, added that after the last operation on November 16, 2023, Sultan could already eat.

After monitoring and declaring improvement in all aspects, Sultan was allowed to return home.

“The patient can eat porridge well, speak with an electrolarynx, and has good nutrition,” she explained.

“Weight has increased, and the neck wound has improved,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sultan’s father, Fatih Nurul Huda, expressed his gratitude to the National Police Chief, General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

He also thanked the Polri Health Affairs Bureau, the Polri Hospital Commander, and all the doctors and medical teams for the medical facilities provided to his son.

“This is something extraordinary for us, and expressing our appreciation is difficult for us,” said Fatih Nurul Huda.

“Since the accident, we never imagined the situation could be like this because in our minds, there was only sadness and despair,” he said.

Fatih stated that his son is now back to normal activities at home.

“Sultan can now play basketball, ride a bike, lift heavy objects, and even learn to ride a motorcycle,” said Fatih.

Sultan himself spoke up, expressing his joy at being able to talk and recover.

“I express my sincere thanks to Mr. Police Chief, General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo,” said Sultan.

“Thanks also to the Polri Hospital Commander, the Polri Health Affairs Bureau, who have collaborated, and I now feel much better,” he concluded.(*)
