Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The Digital Population Identity Registration (IKD) in the Gorontalo Province continues to lead at the national level.
This was revealed by the Head of PIAK and Data Utilization Sub-Division at the Population and Civil Registration Agency (PMD) of Gorontalo Province, Amran Pahrun, on Monday (4/12/2023).
“The achievement of IKD registration in Gorontalo Province remains one of the highest nationally,” stated Amran.
He explained that the high percentage is a result of various efforts made by the Civil Registration Offices in the regencies and cities.
Amran added that the registration service is not only pursued for the sake of achieving a high percentage.
“We pursue this not just for the percentage, to become the highest nationally. However, population documents are essential for the community,” said Amran.
He further explained that the IKD application installed on smartphones would be very useful in case of an incident causing the loss of ID cards or family cards.
“If that happens, then the community can access it through Android communication tools to be used for personal identity purposes,” he concluded.(*)
