Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo held a graduation ceremony for four Nutrition Science bachelor’s students and 31 Medical Record and Health Information diploma III students at Hotel Aston Gorontalo on Friday (12/8/2023).
This event was accompanied by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhayangkara Gorontalo Hospital, Bone Bolango Regency Government, Health Laboratory (Labkesda), and the Gorontalo Provincial Archives and Library Office.
In her speech, Chairperson of STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo, Hartati Inaku, mentioned that the Medical Record and Health Information diploma III program at STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo is the only one in North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and Gorontalo (Sulutenggo).
“As I mentioned from the beginning when you entered, you did not make a mistake in choosing this university. Why? Because there are only two universities in Sulawesi that have this medical record department, namely Gorontalo and Makassar. So, your chances of getting a job are very high,” said Hartati.
She conveyed the same message to the prospective graduates of the Nutrition Science bachelor’s program. According to her, most nutrition science programs only go up to Diploma 3 (D3). According to Hartati, this is one of the advantages of graduates from STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo.
“We all know that with the Ministry of Health’s policy stating that every village must have a nutrition expert to reduce stunting, the job opportunities for Nutrition Science bachelor’s graduates are already wide open. Especially for Gorontalo Province,” she explained.
Regarding the MoU signing during the event, Hartati stated that it aims to complement several existing collaborations, both within and outside Gorontalo Province.
“The collaboration with the library is for accreditation. The collaboration with Labkesda is for research by lecturers and students, as well as with Bhayangkara Hospital. Previously, we have also collaborated with several big campuses in Java such as UGM and others,” explained Hartati.
“I hope this MoU has future implementation, so there is an improvement in the quality of university performance,” she added.
On this occasion, Hartati advised the prospective graduates to always uphold the good name of STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo when they enter the working world.
“The challenges ahead are extraordinary; in the working world, we will face different characters. Be smart in placing yourselves, and don’t forget to carry out entrusted tasks well and always uphold the alma mater of STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo,” she requested.
Finally, Hartati invited high school students in and outside Gorontalo Province to continue their education at STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo. Besides being accredited, graduates of this university are also needed by the region.
“Don’t hesitate; our university is very well accredited, and most importantly, our graduates are needed by the region. We may be a small university, but after graduation, you don’t have to wait three months to work. So, you can start working right away,” said Hartati.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo Foundation, Sjafrudin Mosii, in his remarks on the occasion, expressed gratitude to the entire academic community of STIKES Bakti Nusantara for imparting knowledge to the prospective graduates.
“Thank you to the entire academic community who are always consistent and committed to the vision and mission of STIKES Bakti Nusantara. Hopefully, the sacrifices given can be a worship for all of us,” said Sjafrudin.
He hoped that the prospective graduates in Nutrition Science and Medical Record and Health Information would continue to maintain their enthusiasm in improving human resources so that they can continue to develop in the future.
“Congratulations on reaching this stage. We realize that this requires extraordinary struggle. My message is to continue your education to a higher level. So that in the future, you can return to STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo as an educator,” he added.
In the same place, the Head of Bhayangkara Gorontalo Hospital, Agung Darmawan, invited the graduates to join Bhayangkara Hospital. He even suggested that students join the police force.
“For the Medical Record and Health Information diploma III program, there are already alumni from STIKES Bakti Nusantara Gorontalo working here, and we want to add more because they are highly needed. Even if you are interested, we hope you can join us in the Police Institution,” he concluded.(*)
