Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – To follow up on the Ministry of Home Affairs’ instructions regarding the success of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections (Pilkada), the Bone Bolango Regency government has allocated a budget of Rp 30 billion for the organizers, namely the KPU (General Election Commission) and Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Agency) of Bone Bolango.
According to the Head of the Regional Finance and Revenue Agency (BKPD) of Bone Bolango, Iwan Mustapa, the Rp 30 billion fund will be divided, with Rp 21 billion for the KPU and Rp 9 billion for Bawaslu.
“The budget allocation for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections for the KPU and Bawaslu has been included in the Regional Budget (APBD-P) for 2023 and the Draft Regional Budget for the fiscal year 2024, which is currently under evaluation by the Gorontalo Provincial Government,” said Iwan Mustapa on Tuesday (12/12/2023).
Iwan Mustapa stated that this budget allocation is the commitment of the Bone Bolango Regency government, led by Acting Regent Merlan S. Uloli, along with the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Bone Bolango, led by Chairman Halid Tangahu, to ensure the success of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections in the region.
Moreover, the upcoming 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections coincide with the Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub), and the financing is shared with the Gorontalo Provincial Government, which has been allocated through the Provincial Budget (APBD Provinsi).
“For the amount of the election grant for the KPU and Bawaslu of Bone Bolango, it has been consulted and discussed several times with the Acting Governor, and finally at the Governor’s Meeting attended directly by the Acting Governor of Gorontalo Ismail Pakaya and Acting Regent Merlan S. Uloli, along with the Regional Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPRD, Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), and the Chairman of the KPU of Bone Bolango,” said Iwan.
He mentioned that during that meeting, Bawaslu of Bone Bolango was also invited, but all the leaders and members of Bawaslu were on duty outside the region.
“Alhamdulillah, the Acting Governor of Gorontalo, Ismail Pakaya, at that meeting, gave consideration and approval and guidance to the Bone Bolango Regency Government and the Banggar of the DPRD to allocate Rp 21 billion for the KPU and Rp 9 billion for Bawaslu,” explained Iwan.
Iwan stated that the amount of the budget allocation for both election institutions was approved by the DPRD, and the KPU of Bone Bolango also signed the agreement minutes at the Governor’s Meeting.
“For the NPHD (Detailed Budget Plan), it has been signed on November 29, 2023, during the commemoration ceremony of the 52nd anniversary of Korpri (Civil Servant Corps), in the courtyard of the Bone Bolango Regency Office, witnessed by the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda),” said the former Head of Bappeda-Litbang Bone Bolango.
