Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Acting Governor of Gorontalo, Ismail Pakaya, calls on all leaders of government, private, state-owned, regional-owned enterprises, and the public to activate the Digital Population Identity (IKD).
The call was conveyed by Ismail Pakaya through a letter numbered 470/DKPS-PMD/74/1/2024 dated January 16, 2024.
The letter refers to the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Digital Transformation and Integration of National Digital Services.
Also, Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 72 of 2022 regarding Hardware, Software, and Electronic Identity Card (E-ID) Blank Card Standards and IKD Implementation.
“In connection with this, it is respectfully expected that all officials and their subordinates in the government, private, state-owned enterprises, regional-owned enterprises, and universities can activate IKD,” the Governor hoped.
The request for IKD activation is directed by the Governor to officials and the public who already have E-ID and smartphones.
“Activation can be done by visiting the nearest Civil Registration Office or the Mobile Service of the Civil Registration and Population Administration Agency,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Acting Head of the Civil Registration and Population Administration Agency of Gorontalo Province, Zukri Surotinojo, in his statement, said that the Governor of Gorontalo is very concerned about this issue.
“IKD activation and E-ID recording are crucial, especially considering the upcoming elections,” said Zukri during the 2024 Consolidation Meeting on Thursday (18/1/2024).
Moreover, Zukri added, the success of organizing elections is one of the main tasks as the Acting Governor of Gorontalo.(*)
