Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The swift response team, Rajawali, from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo City Police managed to apprehend two perpetrators of assault that occurred on January 16, 2024, around 03:00 AM in Limba B Subdistrict, South City District, Gorontalo City.
The two perpetrators are identified as RSM (19) and MZR (20), who assaulted the victim with the initials MAZ (23).
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo City Police, Commissioner Leonardo Widharta, explained that in this assault case, the victim was subjected to violence with blows from a hard object, a bottle, to the head.
Meanwhile, after committing the assault, the perpetrators fled to the North Sulawesi region before being apprehended by the police.
“Around January 16th, we received the victim’s report. From the investigation results, the suspects led to RSM and MZR,” said Commissioner Leonardo.
“But after committing the assault, both fled to the North Sulawesi region,” Leonardo added briefly.
Leonardo also explained that to apprehend the two perpetrators, the Rajawali team from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo City Police, assisted directly by the perpetrators’ family,
conducted a direct retrieval of both individuals in the North Sulawesi region and handed them over to the police upon arrival in Gorontalo.
“At present, both perpetrators have been detained in the detention center of the Gorontalo City Police and charged with Article 351 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code,” concluded Commissioner Leonardo. (*)
