Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Gorontalo Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Angesta Romano Yoyol, led the handover ceremony for two Police Resort Chiefs within the Gorontalo Regional Police on Wednesday (3/1/2023).
The two positions are the Gorontalo Police Resort Chief and the Boalemo Police Resort Chief.
The position of Gorontalo Police Resort Chief, previously held by AKBP Dadang Wijaya, is now filled by AKBP Deddy Herman, who previously served as the Boalemo Police Resort Chief.
Subsequently, the position of Boalemo Police Resort Chief will be assumed by AKBP Sigit Rahayudi, who previously served as the Sub-directorate IV of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Gorontalo Regional Police.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Deputy Regional Police Chief, the Inspectorate Chief, high-ranking officers, personnel, non-commissioned officers, civilian employees of the Gorontalo Regional Police, the Chairperson of Bhayangkari, and the board members.
Gorontalo Regional Police Chief, through the Public Relations Division Head, Police Commissioner Desmont Harjendro, stated that such activities are essential.
“The handover of duties must be carried out promptly so that the new officials can quickly carry out their duties in their new positions,” said Desmont.
“This job rotation is expected to bring refreshment to the scope of work and increase the insight and understanding within an institution,” he added.
He further explained that the job rotation within the Indonesian National Police organization is a common practice as part of leadership regeneration.
This is to provide a broad opportunity for officers to develop their careers through various assignment levels.
“To the outgoing officers, the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief expresses gratitude for their excellent service at the Gorontalo Police Resort,” he said.
Desmont stated that the Regional Police Chief also congratulates them on their new assignments.
“As for the newly appointed officers, the Regional Police Chief hopes they can carry out their duties well and quickly adapt,” he concluded. (*)
